Find out throughput

# hdparm -tT /dev/sda

/dev/sda:

 Timing buffered disk reads: 754 MB in  3.00 seconds = 251.23 MB/sec

Hibernate hard disk

hdparm -S60 /dev/hda

Standby

hdparm -y /dev/hda
