Here is an example how I got it on 2011-10-21.

SUSE Linux 11.4

  • Download VMware Server 1.0.10 from www.vmware.com
  • install some dependencies
yast -i kernel-source
  • unpack vmware
tar xvzf Downloads/VMware*
  • install it
cd vmware-server-distrib/
./vmware-install.pl
